Clothing maker Tommy Hilfiger is suing several online stores listed in a court filing, citing alleged copyright infringement and unfair competition.
Tommy Hilfiger Licensing LLC filed a complaint on June 26 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging the defendants made use of its trademark to sell their products.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendants sold counterfeit products, which allegedly included wallets, footwear, clothes, socks and other apparel.
The plaintiff seeks enjoin the defendants, disable the defendants’ domain names, be paid profits and $2 million for each use of its trademark and $100,000 per domain name used, court costs and any further relief this court grants.
